One of the individuals who mocked a Filipino tourist during her trip to Switzerland has reached out to her and apologized for what happened.
In a message sent to the tourist, the person expressed remorse and sincerely asked for forgiveness. They also said that they did not intend for the situation to affect the tourist in the way it did.
“I am sorry po sa nagawa namin. Pasensya na sa nangyari. Buong puso ko pong humihingi ng tawad sa inyo. Pasensya na, hindi po namin intensyon na ganoon kayo. Para sa amin, katatawanan lang ang lahat.”
The person added that everyone involved was asking for forgiveness and said they were willing to issue a public apology or apologize face-to-face to the tourist to put the incident behind them.
“Lahat-lahat po kami ay humihingi ng kapatawaran. Handa po kami mag-public apology o face-to-face apology sa inyo para matapos na lahat.”
They also expressed concern about the backlash and alleged threats they had received following the incident.
“Hindi na po namin kaya ang pangba-bash nila at pagbabanta. Sorry po sa nangyari. I hope sana po maayos na ito. 🖤”
The apology comes amid the ongoing discussion online surrounding the incident, which began after the tourist shared her experience of being mocked while taking photos during her trip to Switzerland.
