I’ve laid here all night waiting for him to come home…for the radio to click off, the gun belt to hang. My Hay…my best friend. Daddy. I’m so sorry…I promise to pick up all the pieces and force myself to carry on for your boys. I know you would want me to. I can’t even fathom getting past the next minute without you.
‘Tomorrow is HHayden Phillips29th birthday. The boys and I cheated and give him his presents early…we couldn’t ever hold out the whole time. I’m so thankful we did. We celebrated two weekends in a row. He was just the kind of guy who is easy to celebrate. I ask you to help my boys and I remember and honor him not just tomorrow- but every day to come. My boys deserve to hear every funny memory, every story…to know the Hero their daddy is. To know the man their Mommy loved so deeply.
The one and secure way to donate money- which has been approved by me and set up properly- is through Kentucky State Police Foundation. This money will really go to help me and the boys daily…
Please be mindful of what is shared….facebook knew he lost his life before i did. That is never- ever ok. Someone saw it on Facebook and called me….imagine being told your husband passed away from FACEBOOK. This is a headline…but more than that, this is my husband and the one my boys world revolves around.
I appreciate every call, text and message. Especially appreciate every prayer. Just know that they are read to me- even if I dont respond. I need strength not just today but every day to come.Rest peacefully My Hay….369, I’m sure glad you were mine.’
