Charges Filed in Deadly Nightclub Shooting

The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office announced that they have charged Dontae M. Brooks in connection with a nightclub shooting on Feb. 15 that left two people dead and two others injured.

Police say they used video footage from the scene and a baseball cap containing DNA evidence to identify and arrest Brooks. He now faces multiple serious charges, including 2nd Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action, 1st and 2nd Degree Assault, and weapons violations.
