CLEVELAND — Woman Says Ex-Boyfriend Ran Her Over and Tried to Cover It Up

A woman is speaking out after she says her ex-boyfriend, Deon Jones, intentionally ran her over with his truck in a bar parking lot — and then acted as if he had nothing to do with it.

According to the victim, the incident happened outside the Beach Bar, a place where she says she is well known and loved. She says after she was struck and left injured on the ground, people leaving the bar found her and called for help. EMS transported her to St. Joseph Medical Center for treatment.

She alleges that after running her over, Jones went inside the bar telling people they had been outside arguing and that he “hit a curb,” insisting he did not hit her. She further claims he later went to the hospital and told her mother, “I think she was hit by a car… we need to find who did this.”

Now, the woman says she can no longer stay silent. After initially being in denial, she says she has seen evidence with her own eyes and believes he was responsible.

It is unclear whether charges have been filed at this time. The situation is reportedly under investigation.
