A break-in early Tuesday morning in Tulsa ended with a man dead after police say he forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home and was shot by someone inside.
According to the Tulsa Police Department, officers were called around 2:45 a.m. to a home near 124th Terrace and Kingston Avenue after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 27-year-old Sean Six suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Six was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
What investigators say happened:
Detectives say the situation began when Six showed up at the home where his ex-girlfriend was staying with a male friend.
Investigators believe he first tried to get into the house through a window, but when that didn’t work, he kicked in the front door and forced his way inside.
Police say the woman had asked a male friend to stay with her because she was worried about retaliation following their breakup.
When Six entered the home, the friend fired a single shot, hitting him in the chest.
The person who fired the gun was detained and interviewed by homicide detectives, but was later released while the investigation continues.
At this point, no arrests have been announced, and investigators are still reviewing the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Friends of Sean have spoken out in desperation for justice as they believe Sean was killed unjustly.
Daniel Nelson wrote: “I have stayed quiet asking around trying to put stories together but what I have came to is I can’t be your friend anymore Sav I have stayed on your side on other things but I can’t on this. I believe Sean was a hell of a guy he did everything for you and you know he would have did anything for you he never hit you he may have hollered and he may have broke things but you know he would have never put your life in danger you knew he would kick that door in and come in like that any man would kicked that door in I know I would have but I can not sit hear anymore your one of my really good friends and that’s why I know Sean was done wrong you can’t go from a week and half ago from this pic to being scared for your life I may loose some friends from this post but but I have to say Sean was played into your game and this can not go with out justice.”
