A 22-year-old Mandan woman accused of killing two of her children and severely injuring another will be held on a $3 million bond.
Kailey Erhart faces nine total charges, including two counts of murder, attempted murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
Court documents state Erhart cut her kids with a knife. Two of the children died, while the third remains hospitalized.
In the affidavit, the father told investigators that Erhart had mentioned dying by suicide and killing the children, and he had plans to divorce Erhart.
The father mentioned Erhart recently bought a handgun and threatened him with it Thursday night.
The father said he was able to grab the gun, take it apart and scatter the pieces. During the struggle over the gun, Erhart bit and scratched him.
