Filipinos want 25 years jail term for Hart Yu after his viral clips

Animal welfare advocates, rescuers, and concerned animal lovers have raised concerns over a video involving content creator HART YU and dogs in Brgy. Bukal, Lemery, Batangas.

A video circulating online shows HART YU discussing having dogs caught and killed after one of them reportedly chewed on his slippers. A dog can also be heard crying while being captured.

The video has since drawn concern from animal welfare advocates and members of the public, who are calling for the incident to be properly addressed through the appropriate channels.

Following the reports, HART YU was met by barangay officials, and the dogs involved were rescued.

The rescue has brought relief to those who were worried about the animals’ safety. Animal welfare advocates are nevertheless calling for the circumstances surrounding the incident to be properly reviewed.

Dogs cannot explain why they chewed on a slipper, wandered onto someone’s property, or made a mistake. They can, however, feel pain, fear, and distress.
