Benjamin Franklin High School senior identified by his family as Xavier, 18, reportedly killed after falling from the 4th floor of the school in Highland Park, CA, on Wednesday, September 30, after an ‘altercation’ with another student, which many have classified as bullying.
Xavier’s family organized a GoFundMe to aid his funeral and other expenses, while video of the fight has sparked outrage online. The Los Angeles School Police Department are reportedly investigating the death.
The video of this incident is stomach churning. It’s clear Xavier was scared out of his mind when he ran off and tragically fell over the balcony. Bullying of any kind is not ok but it has simply become an epidemic in schools, with many children seeing it as a normal part of their lives. It should be stamped out because, as we see in this case and in other cases before, it can end really badly. Prayers for the grieving family. Their GoFundMe would be shared in the comments.

I just don’t understand how school officials are not doing more to protect kids from these bullies or doing anything at all about these bullies! Kids should not feel like this is the norm, it’s just so sad school district are not doing more about this type of matter.
