Smoothie King issued a statement after two employees refused to serve a man wearing a hoodie featuring President Donald Trump’s name.

According to The New York Post, two Smoothie King employees were terminated from their positions at a location in Ann Arbor, Michigan, after they refused to serve a man and his wife due to a hoodie featuring the name of the President of the United States.

“We were just wanting a smoothie, and you literally looked at us, and I asked you if everything was okay, and you said, ‘We don’t feel comfortable serving you’ because of my husband’s hoodie. That is discrimination,” the woman said.

“Okay, well, have a great day,” one of the employees replies.

“That is illegal,” the man’s wife says.

“I said Trump discriminates (against) us,” another employee says.

“Okay, well, that has nothing to do with us getting a smoothie,” the man’s wife replies.

The man’s wife then tells the employees that she intends to call police while leaving the business.

Jacob Lindemyer, 33, will face new charges plus return to prison after absconding from parole.

Lindemyer was arrested on a warrant for possession of meth, but because of a 2008 Van Buren drug conviction the maximum sentence is doubled to 20 years.

Michigan State Police troopers stopped parolee Lindemyer on Jan 16. He told them he had gotten meth from Kallie Miller at 157 E. Washington St. They stopped by on what is called a “knock and talk.”

The items were collected and sent to the state lab to confirm the presence of meth. It also tested the DNA on the needles. One showed it was used by Lindemyer, whose DNA is on file as a convicted felon.

Shortly after the stop, Lindemyer disappeared. He was sent to prison in 2005 for 18 months to five years for stealing from cars in January, of that year, to support a meth habit. He had a consecutive sentence of 12 to 30 more months for fleeing police 60 days later. These are the sentences from which he absconded parole. Records indicate three prior felonies.
