A father and his 3-year-old boy were killed Monday in a family domestic incident at a waterpark resort in Monroe County, District Attorney Mike Mancuso said.
The alleged killer was identified as Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, of Towanda. She also was injured and is hospitalized. Harrison is charged with two counts of criminal homicide. Harrison was the one who called 911.
Autopsies of the victims are slated for later this week, Coroner Thomas Yanac said.
The killings happened Monday night. Police were called to room 2030 for a report of a woman in distress and found the dead father and son in the room.
The investigation is still ongoing. The police seized 80-to-90 pieces of evidence from the room.
