A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged in a shooting death over the weekend in the Memphis neighborhood of Mitchell Heights, police said.
Corey Boyd was charged with first-degree murder, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
It was not immediately known if he would be granted bond or when his first court date is. He is accused of shooting and killing Michael Owens Jr. on Buchanan Avenue off Jackson Avenue, police said. MPD said it happened just before 1 p.m. Sunday.
