The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person dead early Sunday morning.
At 4:18 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2800 block of Indiana Avenue and found one person suffering from a gunshot wound.

Calvin Samuel Johnson, 34, was taken to a local medical facility for treatment, where he died. His next of kin has been notified.
According to police, the shooting appears to be isolated.
Edward Fulk wrote: “My heart is heavy as I write this. I want to express my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Third who his life at the establishment. This is something I never wanted to happen, and I am truly sorry for the pain and loss you are experiencing.
