The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Senatobia that left a child dead and another person critically injured.
Authorities said Senatobia police and Tate County deputies responded Sunday to a shoplifting call at the Walmart on U.S. 51. Officers encountered two adults and a child attempting to leave in a vehicle.
MBI said the driver accelerated toward officers and nearly struck one, prompting an officer to fire. The vehicle fled and later arrived at a hospital, where the child was pronounced dead and another occupant was listed in critical condition.

What is that picture of with an officer in a parking lot? I’m just curious about the photo. To me, there is no justification for a police shooting into a moving car for any reason much less for somebody supposedly, allegedly stealing diapers.
