A tragic and devastating situation unfolded in Miami as a 31-year-old man is now facing two counts of first-degree murder after allegedly shooting and killing his girlfriend’s two brothers.
Police say Antwan Carter confessed at the scene, telling an officer: “I am the one; I have the firearm.” He then surrendered a 9mm Glock 43.
According to reports:
The victims have been identified as Gianni Pierre (28) and Jaheim Pierre (23)
The incident happened at an apartment on NW 17 Ave
Both brothers had reportedly come to check on their sister due to concerns about possible domestic violence
An argument escalated into violence, and Carter allegedly left, returned, and opened fire
Both victims were pronounced deceased — one at the scene and the other at the hospital.
The victims’ sister, described as covered in blood, told officers the shooter was her boyfriend of four years.
Carter is currently being held without bond.
