Famous Bangladeshi Influencer, Muzahid Millad Fatally Hit By Drunk Driver On MEX Highway
A Bangladeshi man who died in an accident on MEX Highway yesterday, believed to be due to under the influence of alcohol, has been identified as the influencer of video game, Advance Gaming.
Victim, Muzahid Millad, 22, died after the vehicle he was in with his wife was smashed while traveling from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. His wife, Nafisa Tabassum Adiba, 23, was injured and is currently being treated at Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
The couple from Habiganj, Bangladesh is understood to have just arrived in Malaysia for a week’s vacation before the tragedy struck.
Muzahid’s death sparked grief in the Bangladesh online gaming community, with taglines like #JusticeForMuzahid and #JusticeForAdvanceGaming going viral and demanding justice.
The statement on Advance Gaming’s YouTube channel which has over 777,000 followers also confirms his departure and requests people’s prayers.
Police have arrested a 31-year-old military serviceman suspected of driving under the influence. The case is being investigated according to Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 which provides for up to 15 years in prison and a maximum fine of RM100,000.
Nafisa’s uncle, Mohibul Hassan, 50, is demanding justice and questions how drunk drivers can be on the roads, hoping stern action is taken.
